JSON Translate provides tools to translate JSON content to multiple languages. The service is offered on a subscription basis (Basic and Pro), with a free tier for limited usage.

You must create an account using Google Sign-In or email and password. You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

• No unlawful, harmful, or abusive use of the service.
• No attempts to gain unauthorised access or disrupt service integrity.
• No submission of malicious code or content that violates third‑party rights.

Paid plans are billed via Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel any time via the customer portal; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

If you believe a charge is in error, contact support within 7 days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method.

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify features, pricing, or the service with reasonable notice for material changes.

We collect account information (email, display name), usage data, and payment metadata (via Stripe). We store aggregate translation usage metrics, such as character counts, language choices, success status, and timing. We do not store translation text in those metrics, and we do not sell personal data.

Who performs the translation?

Microsoft Azure AI Translator performs the machine translation. Translation text is sent securely from the app through our Firebase backend to the Azure AI Translator service and the translated result is returned to your browser. Microsoft states in its Azure Translator data and privacy documentation that text translation processes customer text without storing it.

How long are translations cached?

Translation results are cached in your browser's local storage for 30 days from the time each result is created. The cache is stored on your device, not in Firebase Firestore or another JSON Translate server-side translation cache. An entry may be removed sooner if the cache reaches its size limit, if you clear site data, or if your browser removes it. After 30 days an entry is expired, is no longer used, and is purged the next time the site is opened or the cache is accessed. Because code cannot run while the site is closed, expired local data may remain in browser storage until that next visit or until you clear site data.

Are translations used for model training or human review?

No. Translation text and translated results submitted through the normal translation flow are not used to train or fine-tune any model and are not reviewed by people. "Improving quality" does not permit model training or human review. We improve the service using aggregate operational metrics that do not contain translation text, automated tests, and feedback that a user chooses to send separately.

You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by contacting support at orders@json-translate.com. Some records (e.g., invoices) may be retained as required by law.

We implement industry practices including Firebase security rules, HTTPS, and least‑privilege access. You must keep your credentials secure and notify us of any suspected breach.

You retain rights to your content. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process content solely to provide the translation service and device-local caching described above. This licence does not permit model training, fine-tuning, or human review of translation submissions.

We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your access ceases; certain obligations (payment, confidentiality) survive.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, JSON Translate is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the 3 months preceding the claim.
